| School Fete | 19 June 2010 |
| Yet again, the sun shone, and the Fete just seems to get better and better. The highlight this year was of course the Pilgrims dropping in - literally! The parachute display was amazing and really made the day special. A total of £5,700 was raised, so a huge thank you to all involved. | |
| May Ball raises almost £18,000 | 8 May 2010 |
| The May Ball was a huge success. The Henderson Hall was unrecognisable with its marquee liner and all the beautiful flowers. The guests were treated to a delicious dinner courtesy of Dipper and her staff, alongside puddings made by the parents. Both the raffle and Auction were well supported, and the end result is that the Ball looks set to raise just under £18,000, which is a phenomenal result. Our thanks must go to Naomi Dobson and the rest of her team from the MPPA for such a succesful evening. | |
| Second hand clothes sale | 5 May 2010 |
| The library was full of eager shoppers on Wednesday, looking to buy lovely second hand clothes for their children. The event raised £821 which will be put towards buying items for the school. In addition, everything that was not sold, has been passed on to Tenbury Primary School for their Jumble sale, so will also help the children there. | |
| Claude Bosi Cookery Demonstration | 1 February 2010 |
| Over 70 people attended the cookery demonstration by Claude Bosi of Hibiscus fame. Claude is a Michelin Starred Chef, so we were extremely lucky that he agreed to give his time to the school. The lucky audience were shown how to make a pheasant pithivier, and a pearl barley risotto, and also learnt a great many useful tips along the way. With appetites suitably whetted, everyone then sat down to a delicious Thai green curry, followed by Banoffi pie or lime and passion fruit mousse, all kindly made by Henrietta Lywood and Caroline Mann. Our thanks go to Alice Rogers-Coltman, Henrietta Lywood and Angela Trenchard who organised the event. The event raised the grand total of £1261 which will go towards the Woodland Teaching area. ![]() Angela Trenchard, Louise Anton (MPPA Chairman), Claude Bosi, Henrietta Lywood, Alice Rogers-Coltman | |
| Mouse Racing | 28 November 2009 |
| This was an extremely entertaining evening, and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves - even the mice! Delicious supper was provided by Claude & Claire Bosi of Hibiscus, and Jo Wright and Caroline Mann. We raised over £1000 which will go towards paying for the decking on the lake by the new Woodland Study Centre. ![]() Jo Wright, Claire Bosi of Hibiscus, Jonathan Bartlett, Caroline Mann and Annabel Pearson, MPPA committee members and organisers of the event. | |
| Michaelmas Extravaganza | 18 November 2009 |
| The extravaganza was a huge success and very well attended. We raised almost a thousand pounds which will be split 75% to the school's chosen charity, and 25% towards buying things for the school. | |
| A note from Clare Simmonds | 12 November 2009 |
| I am at home now after three hospitals, and am mending well. The Nurses at Worcester said "that for a teacher, I was quite well behaved, and good at doing what I was told." Richard is not so sure! I have been overwhelmed by your letters, cards and gifts. The bouquet from MPPA was the first to arrive and greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much for you kindness, Clare. | |
| Macmillan Coffee Morning | 25 September 2009 |
| The annual Macmillan Coffee morning was held on another perfect September morning, all part of the expert planning by Alice Rogers-Coltman. There was a great buzz around the Front Hall amongst the 6 stallholders and coffee drinkers alike, aided by the particularly delicious selection of home baked cakes and biscuits. Thank you very much to all who attended and to Alice and her helpers for organising the event. We raised £300 for the charity. | |
| Obstacle Challenge | 24 September 2009 |
